Artiglia l’asfalto is the postcard homage to the creative genius Armando Testa, which I conceived and exhibited in 2017 on the occasion of the centenary of his birth exhibition at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania. Occasion in which I participated in the design of the exhibition, and I held the role of coordinator of the exhibition.
The idea came from the advertising poster “Artiglia l’asfalto”designed by Armando Testa in 1954 for pirelli. I aimed to emphasize the pictorial illustration, taking out the advertised product, I.e. the tire, while maintaining shapes and colors to evoke the author’s style.
